Biography
I graduated from the University of Michigan-Dearborn in 1998 with a Bachelor's degree in English, and minors in both History and Physics. While I had been interested in Law since I was a young girl, it wasn't until my last year of college that I decided to pursue it as a career.
I attended Wayne State University Law School and graduated in 2002. While in Law School, I worked as a Law Clerk for a small, established firm in downtown Detroit, Fildew Hinks PLLC. It was there, under the mentoring of some very gifted lawyers, that I was first exposed to the areas of law that I practice in now. I worked for Fildew Hinks from 1999 to 2002.
I took the Michigan Bar Exam in the summer of 2002 and began working for another firm in September 2002, Foster, Meadows & Ballard, P.C. After receiving the good news that I had passed the bar, I had the honor of working with some very talented lawyers and gained valuable experience in the fields of litigation, business and commercial law, probate and estate planning.
On September 22, 2007, I opened my own practice in order to focus solely on individual and business clients, and to provide them with affordable yet professional and compassionate legal assistance and representation.
In March, 2008, I formed the Alton Law Firm PLC, located in Livonia, Michigan, assisting and helping individuals, families and businesses with their legal needs.
In January 2010, I joined the prestigious legal team at Fausone Bohn LLP, located in Northville, Michigan, and continue to assist and help individuals, families and businesses with their legal needs.

Personal Note
I was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, by my lovely parents who have now abandoned the Motor City for warm, sunny Florida. My only sister also lives there with her two children.
I presently live in Livonia with my wonderful and supportive husband Bill and my three beautiful children, Kristen, Zoe & Billy.
We are blessed to live just blocks from Bill's parents, his sister and her son. We are also just miles from Bill's other sister and her daughter.
I would like to publicly thank all of my family for the constant love and support for my career, goals and aspirations.
